“Angelique was spot on with identifying my type (Pitta-Vata) and presented me with some suggestions to improve my digestive issues. I plan to invest in her Ayurveda Wellness Plan, not just for me, but for my husband, too! She will customize a plan that can work for the both of us, even if we're different types, so I don't have to cook two separate meals.”

To provide a truly holistic approach, I've teamed up with other healthcare providers, including therapists and nurse practitioners. Feel confident knowing you have a team of wellness practitioners dedicated to your health.

  • What is the visa application process?
Tourist visas for Tanzania can be obtained in two ways: when you arrive at the international airport during your transfer from Kigali to Seronera - you will be traveling through Mwanza, which should be selected on your online visa application under port of entry - or online prior to your arrival. The visa cost is $100 regardless of doing it online or in country. If getting the visa in country, you will be guided to the appropriate counter upon arrival to the airport. IMPORTANT: You will need to bring a new, unmarked $100 bill for this purchase. Below is guidance for applying for the visa online. The online visa application process for Rwanda is very straightforward, costs $50, and can be done at THIS LINK. Online TZ Visa Application: There are a lot of third-party online services that you should avoid. HERE is the website you should use, and Kindred Safaris will set up a call with you to help with the process.
  • What vaccinations should I get?
Kindred Safaris recommends that all travelers consult with their physician(s) and your local health department regarding suggested vaccinations. Health Information for Tanzania Health Information for Rwanda
  • What medications should I consider?
As with vaccinations, please consult your physician(s) regarding medications, as every individuals health needs are different. Below is some general information to consider when consulting with your physician, which is based on our experience. • Malaria medication: Atovaquone-Proguanil 250-100 has been tolerated well. This medication and dose is good for shorter trips (e.g., less than 30 days), as you only have to start 1 day in advance of arrival and can stop the medication after 7 days of return. There is a high-dose form that some travelers complain of stomach issues. • Travelers Diarrhea: All travelers should consider remedies for travelers diarrhea. Consider over the counter medications for general digestive tract changes. Prescription antibiotics may also be considered. • What amount of cash and tips do you recommend?
Go Farther Travel & Whole Image Wellness value "all-in" pricing, so we have already included most gratuities in the cost of your trip package. All driver guides, lodges, rangers, and trackers will be tipped on your behalf, with no further out of pocket expense required from you. However, there are a few circumstances where you will be responsible for your own gratuities and expenses, as follows: + Porterage in Tanzania: There will be various people at lodges helping with getting luggage of the vehicles, so just like in the States, we typically tip $1-$2 per traveler on each occurrence. A good estimate would be a maximum of $30 per traveler for the entire trip. + Porterage in Rwanda: $10 per person that will be shared with each porter in your group. Although porters are not necessary, it is a source of income for locals. + Laundry Services: If you are planning to use the laundry services at the lodges (most have them), figure an average of $1-$2 per item for the service, and a tip of 10% of the total bill. Plan your laundering to occur on the first day of a multiple day stay. Your guides will help you coordinate. + Meals: Full board is included at all lodgings except the Serena Kigali in Rwanda. Therefore, you will need to purchase two dinners and two breakfasts during this portion of the trip. The menu at the hotel is à la carte so prices will vary. You may also have the opportunity to purchase lunch in Kigali on your final day (depending on your flight time). + Restaurant Gratuities: Where meals are included, tips are not necessary nor expected. When you are purchasing your own meals at luxury hotels, a 10% service charge may be added to your bill. If one has not been added, 10% gratuity is customary. + In mid-range restaurants in Rwanda, 5-10% is appreciated, preferably in the local currency. + If dining on your own before or after your trip in Tanzania, tipping is not expected, but rounding up the bill is always appreciated. This typically comes to 3-5%. Our rule of thumb for travel to destinations around the world is to carry $150 cash per person, per week. Although the USD is widely used and accepted in Tanzania (and to some extent, Rwanda as well), Go Farther Travel recommends that you pay with the local currency whenever possible, and which can be obtained from an ATM at the airport for the best exchange rates. But don't worry, we'll go over all of this in detail before the trip! Regarding credit cards, we have never had a problem using our Visa or MasterCard in Tanzania/Rwanda if you plan ahead with your bank. Credit cards (Visa and MC) can also be used for gifts purchases, etc. (American Express is rarely accepted, and if it is, there would be a 5% service charge applied.) The Tanzanian Schilling (TSh) and Rwandan Franc are the local currencies and trade at 2,300-to-$1 and 1,225-to-$1, respectively.
  • How is cell coverage and internet service in Rwanda and Tanzania?
In short, we have had better cell coverage in Rwanda/Tanzania than many places in the States. Talk with your cell provider in advance for details (note: Verizon charges $12 per day for coverage). Good WiFi internet service is available at all lodges at no additional cost, although some lodges only have service in the lobby.
  • Are flights included?
The two flights within Tanzania are included in the Tanzania-Only and Full Experience packages. International flights are not included in any package. In total, you will need to purchase 3 international flights if you are joining us for the Full Experience, or round-trip airfare from the United States if you are attending only one segment: Your flight from the USA to Tanzania (JRO). Your flight from Tanzania to Rwanda (KGL). Your flight from Rwanda to the USA. Since Go Farther Travel is a full-service travel agency, they will assist you with finding flights that coordinate with the group. This is included in your package price. Other services offered, for an additional charge, include: + Booking any and all flights + Finding flights that work with your credit card points For more information on flight assistance, please contact rochelle@gofarthertravel.com.
  • Who will meet me at either Kigali International Airport and the Seronera Airstrip, and who are my contacts in Rwanda and Tanzania?

Hi, I'm Angelique M. Flynn, an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Reiki Practitioner, and Yoga Teacher with a deep passion for empowering individuals to take control of their health and well-being.

I specialize in helping people gain a better understanding of their unique health needs because I know what it’s like to have medical professionals invalidate my symptoms.

In my 40s, I began to show signs of early-onset menopause. I experienced hot flashes, low libido, dryness, mood swings, and weight gain. After visiting three doctors who tried to convince me my symptoms weren’t real, I met one who truly helped me: an Ayurvedic Vaidya in India.

Using Ayurveda, I managed to get to the root cause of my imbalance. I’m now the healthiest I’ve ever been in my life.

It’s an incredible feeling, and I want you to feel it, too.

My mission is to help you get to the root cause of your imbalance, whether physical, mental, environmental, or spiritual.

I obtained a Master of Science degree in Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine from Maharishi International University, a Higher Learning Commission-Accredited program, in 2023.

Since then, I’ve provided personalized Ayurvedic care to countless people.

I am here to help you develop comprehensive nutritional knowledge, discover your dosha, and heal imbalances.

My goal is to help you find an individualized solution for your wellness goals. I want to empower you to make the best decisions for your health and well-being.

Success Stories

“Angelique really takes time to get to know me fully. She listens -- actually listens. She has offered so much valuable information and insight to me already and I have enjoyed working with her in the past with my yoga. I’m grateful and look forward to working with her now through my Ayurvedic treatment plan.”

Gina S., PA

“I recently had the opportunity to explore the offerings of Angelique, and I must say, my experience left me intrigued and quite impressed. As a firm believer in holistic healing and natural remedies, I was drawn to their Ayurvedic solutions for various health concerns. I personally recommend the incorporation of traditional and alternative therapies to my own patients and will refer them to Angelique in the future. Angelique truly embraces the ancient principles of Ayurveda, focusing on balancing the mind, body, and spirit. Her dedication to maintaining the authenticity of Ayurvedic practices is commendable.”
